Academic Scholarships

The Maui Friends of the Library (MFOL) is offering academic semester scholarships of  $1,000 each to Maui County residents pursuing a Master's or graduate advanced degree in Library and Information Science at the University of Hawaii Manoa campus or through the UH University Center at the UH Maui College campus. Students may apply each UH Manoa GLIS academic semester for this MFOL scholarship until graduation.

After enrolling in classes, applicants must fill out this online application form and email it to Dorothy Tolliver (tolliver@hawaii.edu), Kate Acks (acks@hawaii.edu) and flo wiger (ashes3@me.com).

Notification to scholarship winners will be sent via email.

 

Purpose
To provide financial assistance to Maui County students who are newly or currently enrolled in the Graduate School of Library and Information Science, University of Hawaii. MFOL Scholarship funds may be used for enrollment, tuition, textbooks/materials and transportation including air transportation to UH Manoa for on-site classes.
